What's the weather in Auckland like from July to December?

Planning on traveling -- just wanted to know how I should dress.

Picola
July and august = winter so dress warm
September is the beginning of spring but can still be a bit chilly. October and November also spring, milder days but cool evenings still
December beginning of summer, but January and February are the best months for warmest weather
the chart is the link will give you an idea of average temperatures http://www.emigratenz.org/auckland-climate.html

July-August will be winter, but Auckland doesn't get as cold as many places further to the south. The temperatures at that time will average 10C. From August-November the weather will be spring-like and the average temperate will be about 15C. From November-February it will be summer, and the temperature in Auckland will range from between 20-30C.

In other words, you'll want to take a range of clothes - winter woollies to shorts and t-shirt.

Have a blast!

July through to October will be cold. It depends on where in New Zealand you are just how cold. The central North Island and anywhere south of Christchurch has snow. Yesterday was the biggest snowfall of the year down south. All the ski fields have just opened. The Desert Rd in central North Island was shut with snow today.

November it should be warming up, can be windy, and Christchurch often has a warm nor west wind. December should be warm - we hope! It is supposed to be summer. Although Jan/and specially Feb are our best months, warmth wise.Have a look at http://www.holidays-in-newzealand.com/new-zealand-weather.html
for details of the seasons in the different parts of the country.

There are no guarantees for our weather. It can be quite variable. So you will find layers for dressing works best.
