um what a stupid question. Both countries are very safe. There are some ghettos in some parts of auckland although nothing like L.A.

Sydney has some really bad areas too.

The crime rate in aus is higher but nz still has lots of crime

I'd say we know about the Ghetto in the U.S because we READ and are EDUCATED and generally know a lot more about the world around us than the everyday American....because I'd prefer you didn't come to N.Z I will say Australia is more ghetto (sorry ozzies he's yours!).

hahaha, funny question!!! well i am a 22year old new zealander but now live in australia, neither of these two countries are ghetto like some places in america are, but i get what your trying to ask so i would say nz is more "ghetto" then oz but only in some places like the main cities, auckland,wellington and christchurch, hope this answers your question :)

its nothing like compton watts or south central gangs dont hardly kill like la gangs and the ghetto are like 1/100th of the city are so you wont come across anything in nz or oz if you wont ghetto go to la,detroit,east stl,d.c if you like ghetto

ok i think all you people need to understand what he means exactly by "ghetto", it doesnt neccessarily mean "bad" it means places where you can kick it, ride a pimps bike down the street, score some dope, shops where you can score some grillz or jingle jangles, in this case there is no real true ghetto as there is in like compton or such, south auckland is probably the most ghetto place in NZ, aussies dont really have ghettos, they are more like the southern states, abit trailer park in some parts
