Homemade ones are definitely out of the picture.
As soon as they become available on the shelves legally they can be set off, after the set date of when it is officially guy Fawkes you can not set them off (legally) but no one really cares... |

Haha home made ones is a big no!
And there is only like a week long period of when you can buy them now, never used to be like that has changed in the last couple years. But other than that you can let them off any time but be careful old people like to call the cops lol |

you can only buy fireworks in the one week of guy fawkes day which is on november 5 but you can set them off when ever you like. No you can't make your own. |

Unfortunately, anything of that nature is quite out of the question in New Zealand, but you could always blow up a paper bag or two for that little bit of joie de vivre.

You cant even buy fireworks any more!
You used to be able to within a 10 day period but im pretty sure that now they arent even for sale in shops.
You can still let ones you already have off though.
