HAHAHA whatta crackup, suma these answers r waaaaaaay the phuk off the scale! Auckland is NOT the capital.....you CANNOT drive as fast as you want......it DOES snow...our people are NOT mainly blue/green eyed blondies....dam man, if you dont know (other posters) then dont answer the question LMAO I know it's raining in Tauranga right now, I know we have a beautiful country & people (most of us neway!) I know that we as a people are very lucky to be living in a country as free as this.

Picola
there are a lot of uneducated people answering this question!

I also live in New Zealand so to settle a few myths not all the people here have blond hair and blue or green eyes!!??!! nice one wherever you got that from. I have brown hair and brown eyes thank you very much.

Auckland is not the capital!! it is the largest city and is in the north Island, Wellington at the bottom of the North island is the capital.

We have a very mild climate, definetly not tropical, we have four distinct seasons and as someone else correctly mentioned we do get snow just not everywhere, there are many mountains in New Zealand, gosh don't people know anything these days!
New Zealand is beautiful and there is lots more to know about it - also as for the bit about it raining all the time its only like that in Milford sound (one of the most spectacular parts of the world) and auckland is known for its high rainfall, but many South eastern parts of NZ suffer from drought and consequently are very dry

We are 2 Islands, North & South, &
Stewart island, at the very, very bottom on NZ.
We love sport especially Rugby, Cricket, Net Ball....
We're nice, friendly people, very down to earth, nothing fancy about us Kiwis....we're just special :)
Our weather is crap! winter takes no time coming in , but summer does! but when summer comes she's a beaut. You will see loads of Kiwis packing up there cars & heading to the beach, it's in our blood....while somtimes giving those rich enough to own a nice boat a dirty look ...lol
Yea, we're choice :)

tuff chick
i know lots coz i live there. i live in invercargill, new zealand. and we have winter here and get snow and crappy cold weather. i have brown eyes and brown hair like a lotta people here and lots also have blues and green eyes and blonde hair. and were very nice people

I live in New Zealand.
The population is 4 million plus. There are definitely four distinct seasons and a thriving ski industry in winter though it doesn't snow everywhere.
The indigenous population, Maori, are closely related to native Hawaiians.
It was settled in the late 1800's by predominantly people from great Britain. Now we are very culturally diverse.
New Zealand has great scenery, is considered to be clean and green. We have a great sporting tradition and invented bungy jumping.
The movie "Lord of the Rings" was directed by a New Zealander and was largely filmed here. 'Samurai' too plus others.

I live in NZ, and know quite a bit, though you are getting a lot of answers about specific things so I dont want to just repeat them. NZ is a great place..the people are incedibly friendly. I have travelled quite a bit, and experienced many different awesome cultures. However, Im drawn back here. NZ has a relaxed and open feel about it.

I know everyone goes on about the fact that Lord of the Rings was filmed here, but it's a great way to see some of the reat scenery NZ has to offer, especially from the South Island in places like Queenstown.

Im pleased to see by some of the answers that people are trying to learn/want to learn more about this country! Hopefully you get to experience it first hand sometime. :D

Josie Jo
I live at Snells Beach - north of Auckland - which is a very moderate climate all year round.

Just to let you know, I have natural grey hair but with blonde highlights through it & blue eyes - ha ha. Catcha all around and have a good one.

To be honest, I know nothing. I am soooo bad with geography. I sadly (yes, very sadly) cannot even tell you where it is. Haha maybe I should research to expand my knowledge. :)

Beatrice
It is a small island under Austarlia.I had a teacher from New Zealand and she had said N.Zealand has a small population, and I think in there it is always summer, never snows and has tropical climate.
People from there generally have blue or green eyes and blonde hair, nice people.

Well, its a small Island just below Tasmania(australia). It gets very cold during winter and when it rains it doesnt stop raining for about a week. It snows a lot there aswell. Auckland is also the capital i think and is a main attraction for people. And yeah at the moment thats all I know.
