It bugged me so much when I heard it, I think the people playing the ad should have just cut it. It sounds horrible and if I was maori, I would probably be offended by it lol.
Dookie - its not the accent, its them just saying what they see on the paper, if you hear it said they could easily pronounce it semi correctly - Kee ora. Theres a place in wellington called Petone, and geeez the amount of times Ive heard it pronounced Pet One (as in 1 pet) LOL

It was for that pimple stuff wasnt it, the one that uses lots of celebrities to sell their stuff

Ive heard plenty of American's pronouce it exactly the same way she does, its just their accent. Even some kiwis have trouble saying it properly too lol.

haha, ZM were playing it over and over again on the radio and it sounds so bad! she literally says Keya - ora New Zealand!

oh well, it doesnt really make a difference coz i'm not not going to buy the product based on a mispronounciation

Poor girl, she was probably taught to say it by someone who couldn't pronounce it properly themselves.
I can't remember the add as I am too busy cringing after i've heard her say it hehe.
