For 4 to 4 1/2 Star rated hotels, expect to pay around $100.00 to 150.00 USD per night.

For a decent hotel your looking at NZ$100.00 to NZ$150.00 depending on sea views and so forth.. I thoroughly recommend the Skycity Hotel and Rydges. Next to the Viaduct is the Copthorne, but that is really loud due to traffic, so if you are a ight sleeper try Rydges. It's close to everything.

Also in the Bay of Islands - don't stay at the Beachcomber - too far away fromt he city centre to walk. Try the Abel Tasman (I think, can't quite remember) or Aloha motel... Both close to town..
