What is Eastbourne ( Wellington area) like?

Hi everybody, I am from London England and I am pondering the idea of moving to NZ, specifically to Eastbourne where I have friends living there already.
So I ask you info about the place, I am a veterinary 30 single woman, would Eastbourne be a good place for me to live?
Or would you suggest me to opt for other areas of NZ?
Is Eastbourne a boring place?
Please give me as much details as possible, thanks

Dangerous
It's a very nice community and a very nice location with a good beach and easy access to nice bushwalks and a lovely harbour view.

It's also a bit boring and isolated on one side of the harbour, I'm not certain if a typical London girl could handle that. Depends if you like the quiet life. Might not be too bad if you already have friends there though.

You might also want to look at Northland, Oriental parade, Maungaraki, Kilbirnie or the back of Johnsonville in the Wellington area. Or somewhere nice in Christchurch like Sumner or Avondale.

Then again if you like a racey urban pace perhaps you should stay away from NZ altogether...
