It depends what city you want to live in. Can I presume you're looking for a girls school?
Look at Diocesan or St Cuthbert's in Auckland, Rangi Ruru Girls in Christchurch. For co-ed schools look at Wanganui Collegiate in Wanganui or St Kentigern in Auckland.
My two girls went to St Cuth's and loved it.
You can find a listing of private schools at
http://www.independentschools.com/new_zealand/
The site includes contact details, but not websites - google each school for this.

Well if you insist on doing Cambridge, it will be difficult esp. with the boarding facility because the trend for high school right now seems to be IB.
I know that Corran (girls school), Senior College (no boarding) offers Cambridge and Kings College. I'm not really sure if Corran has boarding I think Kings does.
Sorry for such a bad answer, it's just that everybody seems to be doing IB

I think Christ's College in Christchurch fits your definition.

Depends if you want girls or boys private schools
I'm from Christchurch and have heard that Rangi Ruru - girls - is very good. Or St Margarets.
For boys - Christ's College
