The bus to central Auckland is called Airbus and the adult fare is $15. This is the cheapest option

I also think that the shuttle buses are the cheapest option.
I can't remember the name, I just know its a bus that takes you in a set route into and around Auckland city.
There are several just outside the terminal doors. Mine was not quite door to door.... or at least the one I took.I had to walk for several minutes to my hotel......there is a specific route that it takes and you can get picked up to go back to the airport as well along them. You would be able to get info at the airport on options.
