What is the fashion trend for women in New Zealand now?

And how much can an outfit cost?

I Love The Rain
As it is winter, skinny jeans are a big fashion trend at the moment. Especially when they are tucked into boots or worn with flats.

Cardigans are the way to go for something warm to cover up in. They are very fashionable at the moment.

It depends on where you buy clothes from for the cost. Many "teenager" type shops like, Jay Jays, Supre & Dotti have fairly good prices ($20-$30 for a shirt, $20-$40 for a cardigan, $30+ for skinny jeans. It all depends on where you shop).

I dont know what sort of demographic your after but as a 17 year old i can tell you the sort of clothes that my friends and i are wearing at the moment!!
As mentioned its winter over here at the moment so the staples are pretty much skinny jeans tucked into flat boots (both ankle and higher), with cardigans, those ethnic scarves and winter jackets.
The most popular chain stores for teens are glassons, supre, lippy, dotti, wild pair, just jeans. These all sell nice trench coat type jackets or a jacket in a shorter length for around $80.
Hoodies from streetwear labels such as federation, huffer and wesc are also popular. some stores like fusion in wellington have recently introduced american apparel which is cool.
High waisted is still 'in' in new zealand and once again stores like glassons have some nice but affordable items, like basic black high waisted skirts for $40. Cue and country road are a bit more high end and have some really nice basics. i have a really nice cue black pussy bow blouse which cost me around $60.
Cuba st in wellington has lots of really good vintage/second hand stores:hunters and collectors, paperbag princess, ziggurat.
i hope this is sorta what you were after!!!

At the moment it's winter so these types of clothes are popular-
- black puffy jackets
- coats like this with tights http://www.fashion-era.com/images/Coats/autumn2006/Red_coat_Ivory27471.jpg
- jeans of course
- high-waisted skirts and pants/shorts

Basically anything that was popular in the US/England last winter is popular in NZ here. We don't set trends, we copy them.

As for labels, the popular ones here at the moment are Louis Vuitton, Volcom and converse (for shoes)
The cost of an outfit all depends on how expensive your taste is. You could shop at an opshop and spend $20 on an outfit or you could go to somewhere like Supre or Amazon and spend $200. All depends where you go.
