There will always be wind but its not very cold wind, You get sunny hot days since its summer. So like shorts/skirt and a t shirt for those days and ur togs/bikini if ur hitting the beach. Also bring a light over top and a pair of long pants incase of a not so warm day. And a raincoat incase of a yucky day which will be expected, you probbaly won;t need a umbrella coz it's usualy to windy to use one anyway lol. The tempertures to expect will be around early 20s or late 10s.. and max like 25.. if ya lucky.

That is their summer in New Zealand. January is the warmest month. Dress like you would here in the U.S. for summer. Shorts, t-shirts, sandals. Bring your bathing suit, too.

I've been to Australia in January.

It will be windy, don't believe anybody who tell you it isn't. Temperature wise, it's fairly warm, between about 18 and 22 degrees C. It's one of the coldest places in New Zealand, because of it's location, usually pretty similar to Dunedin.
