What is your opinion on the Hyatt Regency Auckland? Is it in a convenient area for a tourist?
I will be there during Xmas and would like a decent hotel that isn't super expensive and in a convenient area. If anyone knows of smaller, boutique-style hotels, I would welcome advice for them.
The Hyatt Regency Auckland is situated in central Auckland, convenient for many of the City's attractions BUT is up a short but steep hill from "the main drag" so may not suit a more elderly guest.
It IS a good hotel and many of the boutique hotels could actually be more expensive.
Use a search engine to look for
.nz ("boutique hotels) +Auckland)
and have a look at the sites it brings up to see if there is something which appeals to you.
Hope you have a lovely holiday here.
