What kind of footwear will i need in dunedin?

i'll be heading to the university of otago in a couple of weeks and i would like to know what kind of shoes do girls there usually wear this time of year (since it's winter right now).

Ignore Doris! I don't know why she bothers answering questions at all and wasting everyone's time with stupid answers. Anyway, it gets pretty cold down south so wear some woolly socks and sensible shoes/boots.

Ugg Boots, Crocs, Gumboots (just kidding).

It'll be raining and cold so wear shoes comfortable to walk in, good grip (for slippery situations), and can worn with with thermal socks.

Having lived in Dunedin for some time and coming from over seas saldy i agree with Doris! On the barefoot aspect anyway! You can ware nothing at all!
That said its freezing in the winter so stock up on your uggs and fishing sox!
The people are lovely though,enjoy.
