Hello Sussanne

High and low seasons depend on what it is that you want to do!!

For example if you are talking in terms of the seasons - summer, winter, spring, autumn, then:

December to February is Summer
March to May is Autumn
June to August is Winter
September to November is Spring

So for tradional 'good weather' activities like sightseeing and touring etc a good guide would be the campervan hiring companies who classify High Season as December to February and Low Season as May to September. Of course public holiday times in whatever season they fall would attract 'high season' pricing and activity.

If, however, you are interested in winter activities like skiing, then those places close to and/or associated with skiing resorts would classify high season as June to October and low season as pretty well anything outside that period.

As for school holidays, the 2007 college schedule is given below. Remember, however, that not all schools start and finish on exactly the same dates. But, the schedule should give a reasonable guide.

December 15th 2006 to 6th February 2007 - summer break
6th April 2007 to 22nd April 2007 - end of term one break
30th June 2007 to 15th July 2007 - end of term two break
22nd September 2007 to 7th October 2007 - end of term three break
15th December 2007 to 6th February 2008 - summer break

Add to this various odd days for regional and national public holidays.

Good Luck

try a google seach.

Ms. G.
Low Season - (Winter) is mid April through mid October. The weather is cool, averaging during day time 60.8 degrees Fahrenheit, very cool in the evenings. Can be changeable.

High Season - (Summer) is mid-December to the end February. The wind varies from moderate to light. Temperatures during the day can reach up to 28/30 degrees Celsius (around 82/86 degrees Fahrenheit). Sea breezes appear at about 11:00AM from a north to northeast quarter and will disappear at about 6:00PM.

Hope this helps!!
