Depends on what you want to do, what kind of work you will do. Auckland, the biggest city has everything especially traffic congestion. Modern clean city with a laid back lifestyle compared to any other major city. Napier and Hastings are beautiful cities. Its a real winery district. The lifestyle there is brilliant. The best weather is there and things are very cheap. It is the fastest growing region in New Zealand. Work is plentiful and the people are friendly. Wellington, the capital is a nice compact city. Modern, small and tidy, it is a fun city. Very cultural and artsy. Christchurch and Dunedin are nice cities but dull after 6pm.. Queenstown, party town and expensive to live there. Gorgeous setting but the variety of employement there isnt great. And theres a whole bunch of other places to live around New Zealand, but it just depends on what you want..
