New Zealand English is close to Australian English in pronouciation.

The main difference is that New Zealanders tend to flatten their vowels. So Fish and Chips becomes Fush and Chups. Six sounds like Sux.

Also it is common for NZers to roll their Rs. This is more significant the further south you go. Most noticible when used with an F such as 'friend'.

One answerer has suggested that NZers say fush and chups.
I've never ever heard a Kiwi say that, but I have heard Australians say feesh and cheeps.
I think that answerer may not be a Kiwi.

I am a NZer and there arent really any.
Some might be Maori, well half or something, so they might look a bit darker.
But they look the same as Americans or English, you might think they are, unless you hear them talk, then theres the accent.

Why you ask????
