NZ - I live you NSW and can tell you that only being here for a year NZ is far more safer. Killings, stabbings, child abuse etc is far worse over here. I even watch documentary's on past incidents. But in realistic terms Australia is lik8 times bigger in population so it would take a scientist to work this out. More numbers more chances of being hurt. Thats only people then you have Snakes, Spider, bugs the size if your hand etc. Family wise - NZ, Single Travelling looking to explore but not live - Australia.

I went to school in Britain. I now live in NZ and I've lived in Oz. I've got my own opinions about the quality of life in Oz compared with NZ, but both countries are safe to live in. If you're reasonably polite, know when you've had enough to drink in public and don't go asking for trouble, you're probably safe in all but the roughest areas of both countries.

Both countries are reasonably safe crime wise compared to alot of other countries. I've lived in Aussie and in NZ and I feel safer living in NZ.

NZ has NO SNAKES, Australia has the 10 deadliest snakes and spiders in the world. SO critter-wise NZ is definitely the safer country to live in.

nz ,,, as auss a much bigger plce

This will probably cause conflict, but our crime is quite low unless you under the age of 5.
I know that is bad but I personally still can't get over how great a country we have but how we keep killing and abusing our kids. Maybe because we are smaller we get to hear about it more.

i dunno about how many major gangs they have in aus but i imagine thered be more than nz so nz should be safer. just be careful of the rough gang areas, thats all.

I got to be honest i'm a nzer and i reckon australia probally more safer like new zealand has alot of places that are safe but then on the other side theirs places like auckland, christchurch etc. which are not safe. New Zealand is a good country its just that the Gangs in NZ are very distruptive. i've got to agree with abbi new zealand doesn;t have any snakes

NZ.

Yes people are saying New Zealand is getting out of control but we arent. It may seem like that is whats always on the news but it's because new zealand has a small population. With Australia's bigger population there will definitely be more crimes.

They're both beautiful countries but i say looking at it lately, it's got to be Australia.

I'm sorry to say but New Zealand's crime rate is getting out of control. The statistics are high, more famly abuse, baby deaths, it's sick.
