Ngaio I was born there . And feel so privileged to have been growing up there. Only a 10 minute train ride to wellington. I recently went back for a holiday and visited 2 schools one was the Ngaio school and I couldn't believe what a healthy happy bunch of children I observed. The other school about 6 or 10 kilometres away the children where different sloppy with hunched shoulders. but at that school I didn;t see many children maybe 12 to 20 but the Ngaio children I saw several class rooms a lovely headmistress. and it was such a delight |

Being a parent in a young family myself, and having had lived in many different suburbs in wellington, I would reccomend checking out Johnsonville, Karori and Miramar in that order.
As they would be the ones I personally would be looking at if I moved back home. |

One bit of information I can pass on is that you need to be able to support yourselves for a year at least.
A friend and his girlfriend emigrated to New Zealand a few years ago, and before the New Zealand Government would even consider letting them in, is that they needed to have written proof that they had savings of at least £80,000 EACH. |
