Where are the best sources of information on emigrating to New Zealand and is it a good idea?

Hi there,

I'm a migration consultant based in London that helps people move to New Zealand (and Australia). We do not charge for an initial assessments. If you would like to contact us by email Jessica.Stooke@Visalogic.net we would be happy to tell you your options for migrating to New Zealand.

I recognise that a lot of migration consultancies run visa scams but I'm happy to say that we aren't one of them!

The countries embassy - the would be the same for any other country you may wish consider. They nearly all have web sites

The best source of info is our Dept. of Immigration. There are all these immigration consultants elsewhere, but you can make preliminary enquiries through the Dept. of Immigration for free. The private agencies are all expensive and some of them are scams. I'm an immigrant to NZ and now a NZ citizen. Came in 1968 from Britain, when it was much easier to get in. Is it a good idea? Well, it worked for me. NZ has been kind to me, but of course it depends on what sort of lifestyle you like. Some of our immigrant friends came here from countries with higher standards of living than here, but they still prefer our lifestyle. If you can afford it, come here for a visit before selling up and emigrating here. Some of our overseas friends come here for a holiday and don't like the geographical isolation and lifestyle. You'll need to make up your own mind.

new zealand house and its one of lifes better ideas if you don't wait too long. major issue when you emigrate is to be one of the locals don't try and change it to a mini england ,big mistake of immigrants in to england trying to turn a country into something they just left because they hated it

You need to check out the NZ Government immigration website to see if you are eligible to emigrate.

Good idea? If you want a laidback lifestyle in an uncrowded country, New Zealand is the place for you!
