It may be cheaper to go flatting in a house with others, it will help with your english and it would be cheaper than a hostel. Check out Waiheke Island, there is a really cool backpacker lodge at fossil bay farm there. |

If you are only staying in the hostel a short time, I would recommend the Snow n Surf Backpackers. They are reasonably priced. If you have a BBH or YHA card you it is as low as $19NZ a night |
