If you mean Kiwifruit (or Chinese gooseberry) Actinensis chinensis, then the vines (not trees) grow through the country, but commercially are best grown in the Bay of Islands and the Bay of Plenty.

You should be able to buy them at most Nurseries . They are a vine and need something to climb over preferable something you can walk under and reach the fruit to pick as they hang down . They take up quite a bit of room
