I recently visited New Zealand (my home country) and thought it was lovely. The only thing I could find wrong with it (besides the cold weather haha) were the locals complaning about how bad NZ is and how much better Australia is.
There seems to be no sense of pride in NZ for their own country! It's one of the safest, greenist countries in the world (with the advantage of being compact) and yet people still complain about how much higher the wages are in OZ.
I personally only live in OZ because my parents moved here when I was young, but I plan to return after school to raise a family there and make it a place worth living!
Come on New Zealanders, be greatful!

I've never heard that. The only time NZers mention Aussie is when we talk about Rugby.. I think we're just a bit modest than a lot of other countries. We are patriotic, just don't feel the need to parade it. Apart from the fact that the climate in Aussie is nicer and salaries are higher over there, I don't know what any NZers would be complaining about.. I guess a lot of them have not seen anywhere else and take it for granted.

I live in the UK and love New Zealand, I've only visited for a couple of months but in a few years I fully intend to move there. Australia is great, but New Zealand is just so beautiful, and all the people I met there were just so friendly and helpful. |

Nah, my brother is from New Zealand and I honestly think it's much more of a laid back and easy going place, us Ozz'ys are just way too cocky and too interested in becoming The United States of Australia.
At least NZ will withhold it's true culture and identity. |

i used 2 live there but im not a born kiwi... and yeah its amazingly anwesome - all the ppl r friendly as hell, and christmas is awesome on the beach... and whooooaarrrrrrrr its soooo hot at summer there, cor blimey - trust me! lol but its freeeeeezing in winter... especially on mt. taranaki... (i used 2 live there in new plymouth, taranaki),,, peace

Like it all not Australia will always have a bigger pull factor you cannot change that. That is why I am proud to be an Aussie because we are not Self-Defeating and we are robust sort of people and alot of KIWIS like those abtributes about Aussies.
Ps My parents are both Kiwis and now they are true blue AUSSIES, Like my said if you cant beat them, JOIN EM
