Should be ok. Don't bring in any food, tents or camping eqpt and join the nothing to declare queue. You've got to get a bus to the domestic terminals too. It's fairly spread out for an airport but everything in Auckland is sprawled out.

They are excellent and very friendly. You'll probably need to change terminals but there are regular shuttles - don't forget they are strict about what foods you bring in with you.

As long as your flight arrives on time. I had to change flights on an internal trip to Oz, but the flight was late and baggage took ages, so had to push in the queue and then sprint to the plane. There was only one flight a day, so didnt give the option to book a later flight, but if you can do I would suggest that.
