Its sounds like your up to something dodgy with the question you've just asked. Of course immigration have ways of checking stuff out, so if your lying, they're found out & you won't be allowed into New Zealand & your be deported back to your own country.

They will probably just ask you whther you have enough money to support yourself before you find work, and probably saying yes or showing them a bank statement or even just showing them your credit or debit card will do.
