I'm 18 and have lived in New Zealand since I was 5. Malls close at 5pm most nights, sometimes there is late night shopping. To the person who said go to the Wharehouse, don't listen. That's like Wal Mart, but worse.
Most popular stores are
Supre
Glassons
Jay Jays
Just Jeans
Jeans West
Billabong
Ripcurl
Amazon.
The last 3 are more expensive, but the first 3 are cheaper.
Magazines...
Girlfriend
Dolly
Cosmo
Creme
Shoes..
Vans
Chucks
etc.. everyone wears jandles/flip flops/thongs. Or flats.
You can email me if you like.

The malls close at different times of the year but is mostly the food halls are still open around 8-9pm, with the actual shops closing at different times. |

OK like EVERY teen girl shops at Supre.
Its very affordable but too many girls are seen wearing the same clothes so yeah...
AMAZON! (surfy brands like roxy, billabong, ripcurl)
Theres also Lippy which have cool dresses.
Cheapskate, Just Jeans...
If U go 2 Chch(where i live), Comtemporary lounge have some wicked shoes but a bit pricey.
NZders arent very in2 keeping up w/ trends lol - the mags are Girlfriend and Dolly prob.
Yup chucks are everywhere over here. |

For REALLY cheap the WAREHOUSE ( the big red shed), but there are lots of other places worth a look eg glassons, Farmers., supre..it won't take you too long to find them all in a mall.
Malls vary in shopping times, but most would close about 6 every night, or maybe have a late night....often thurs till 8 or something.
Shoes....Number 1 shoe warehouse is very popular here and has good deals
makeup brands are pretty universal and the main ones are all here ( but not all)...less variety |

Well I don't shop here (NZ), I buy my cloths in Pacsun and Tillys over back in the States...
But the trend here in NZ...is too weird they over do it making themselves poser looking but overall the main trend that look normal here is the skaters, prep and indie. But the other trend like emo and gangsta they look F***** ridiculous...
If you wanna keep up with the trend just surf in some american appreal site... |

Like someone said, Supre is the best for affordable clothes, but yeah all 15 years olds shop there and then you see everyone wearing the same top.
As for malls closing times, I used to working in the Mall in Lower Hutt, and they stayed open till 6ish but then had late night thursdays and fridays till 9pm.
and as for the person who posted before me... the shops you have just said are shops in the UK
i never saw a new look in NZ, |

Popular clothing stores are - Colorado, Just Jeans, Jeans West, Supre, Glassons, MAX, Pagani...
Yes the stores are usually open from 9am-5pm... in Auckland and larger cities they may be open later on Thursday nights...
Yes Vans and Chucks are also in... not so much at the moment, they were more in a few years ago... Hannahs is a good shoe store, number one shoe warehouse, Dickies (some different towns have different shoe stores)...
Make-up - Australis, Loreal, Maybeline, Max Factor, Chi Chi and a few others, again this depends on where you are going... places like Auckland would have a wider variety compared to small towns..
Hope this helped.. Email me if you need to know more... |
