***£50 REWARD** What is the cheapest way of shipping my belongings BACK from Gran Canaria to England. **£50** |
What is the cheapest way of getting my belongings back from Gran Canaria to the UK?
I moved out to Gran Canaria 3 years ago for Medical reasons, like a fool i took all my belongings with me. I recently moved back to England and need it back. Going out i paid stupid money to send it by container. I dont want to make the same mistake bringing it back. £50 or 75€ to the person who provides me details of the cheapest and safest way of getting it all back.
details: i have approx 20 medium size boxes, a few bin bags and a few separate objects like plants etc. total size of consignment is approx 7 cubic metres. the reward for helping me will be paid on successful elivery of items to my home in england. You have my word. |

Call your nearest Kuhne & Nagel office.
They do some great deals for non urgent shipments. They´ll basically use your stuff to bulk out a 95% full container. |

The thing to do is to look in the english language newspaper. In there will be adverts, if you don;t have too much, then one of the smaller companies with part load being advertised will be OK, but you have to bear in mind, they may not get your goods to oyu for a couple of weeks, so you will need to have stuff to tide you over. They all charge by the cubic metre, but be warned, I ahve had experience of removal companies where they take stuff and only part gets back, and not insured or willing to own up as to where its gone. everything must be securely packaged, bin bags are just not good enough as they will get ripped to shred, boxes are by far the better option, as are the cheap checked bags form the 100 peseta shops, but don;t over stuff those as the zips are not great. Cheap is not always the best in the long run, shop around, get quite and plumb for what seems to be the beat deal
Many vehicle rental companies do not allow vehicles to be taken out of the country because of the insurance cover.
Getting a cheap but reliable vehicle and driving yourself back with your goods may be an option worth considering.
Expect quotes for removals from reputable companies to be in the region of 500-800€ |

Not for money - but to answer all the same - when I came back from Australia to UK, shipping by sea was the cheapest, although it was cheaper than I'd imagined. It would even have been worth bring our car back rather than selling it in Sydney and buying again in England (except that we didn't because of getting spares.) |

You can email them with your details and how much you need shipped!
Can't you also hire a self-hire van from Spain with someone like Budget, etc and drive your belongings to the UK. Some companies do one way rentals as well.
Good Luck and keep your money for your removals.. don't waste it here... |

As a rough guide, that would be about 4 pallets and you can expect to pay around £125 per pallet get that lot from Spain in a van, the Canary Island leg would cost extra and that is the expensive part if you don't want to containerise it as our van costs over 1000 Euros on the ferry to GC. |
