I am going to Spain in a few weeks and I want to know alcohol prices in stores and in bars.
Can you tell me prices of differents sorts of alcohol?

I paid about 5 / 7€ for a glass of TÃo Pepe at a bar last year. 5.50€ for a 750ml bottle at a grocery store, and 6€ for 1l bottle at the Duty Free in Barajas. Prices can vary greatly. That same bottle I bought at the grocey store was selling for almost twice the price at the gourmet grocery store up the street (about half a block).
Other alcohols, I can't help you with. Things vary so greatly by brand, size, and store. I didn't buy a whole lot.
Even beers vary greatly by the sort of bar you are in. It has always been that way. Pubs cost a good three to four times what you pay for the same glass of beer in a small bar. |

In Madrid, I know we hit several tapas bars south of Plaza Mayor that had small 1 Euro beers and great tapas along with them. In the grocery, we found wine from .89 Euros & up per bottle, and I believe a 6-pack of beer was $5 to 8 Euros, depending on brand. |

From what I can remember there are a very select few bars that are very very cheap!...These are the dark and dingy little bars tucked and hidden away!...These bars may be a good place to start your night if your a real party-go-er as the main pubs and clubs are going up in price!...In comparison if you go into an entertaninment bar you are paying for the entertainment in with the alcohol!...And of course the cheepest alcohol out there is obviousley the spanish largers and bitters witch get cheaper and cheaper when brought in bulk from any local supermarket!... |
