Any "nice" parts of Playa de Las Americas? |
My husband and I are going on holiday to PLA in September. We've both been there before (seperately) and remember it with perhaps less than fond memories... - i.e. veronicas, pushy touts etc
We're staying up the hill a bit at Club la Costa.
Any recommendations for nice bars/restaurants which will change our memories!

Stick in the Fanabe Bay area, near Sunset Harbour and Sunset Beach Clubs, or Los Cristianos.
If you want a nice trip, goto Adeje and try the local garlic chicken...similar to KFC, but much better, and with garlic.
If you are staying at Club La Costa, I guess you own a timeshare?
If yes, next year choose Lanzarote, and write to me, i will recommend the best resorts to exchange to,and bars,restaurants,etc!! |

No, it's a horrible tourist resort that should be avoided at all costs. Just jump on a plane to anywhere in southern Europe, get a guide book and find a small quiet hotel. You'll enjoy it so much more |

Its worse than it was, its full of teenagers, unless you go to Los Christiana's where its full of pensioners and a few Karaoke bars. |

No keep walking away from Veronica's head towards the shopping centre and there are some nice restaurants and bars.
Apart from the monkey Zoo it was the worse place I have ever been. |

Club la costa is timeshare, but didnt know there was a clc in playa las americas. Yes americas does have nice parts, further down than veronicas on the way to los cristianos. Its mainly just teh veronicas strip thats gets rowdy. Club la costa, will mither the life out of you, ive been to one of their meetings, somehow I parted with 3k !! luckily came to my senses and cancelled it. Timeshare touts are a real pain. |
