Which would be the best area to stay in with a 6 month old and 3 year old. Really after charm, rather than lots of English Pubs and a nice beach with calm shallow waters.

salou is a lovely place. There's a few scottish,irish and english pubs all in it. It has loads of cafe's with english food. There's loads of clubs/pubs. Portaventura is great expecially if there's kids with you! There's sky diving, boat trips, bungee jumping etc. Loads to do. Just have fun! |

PORT AVENTURA..
For a crazy must do day out visit this place. Literal meaning you can guess.."port aventure" they have lots of rides, shows..they end with a water and fire show, which is something not to be missed. Just the way to end the night.
FONT LLUMINOSA
At the end of the Paseo Jaume I, and, during the summer there is a beautiful show of water and lights. The fountain is the work of Carles Buigas, an architecht, who is also the author of the Montjuic Fountain in Barcelona.
MOUNTAIN JEEP SAFARI
A trip to see the villages up in the mountains, one village only having a population of 22! All in all, a way to fill up your day depending on if this is your kind of thing!
THE BIG WALK
Salou Walkway, you must do it, even if I didn't say this I'm sure you would. It really is a must-do, even if such a petty thing. There are palm trees either side and a water fountain as you reach the end (lit up at night). Its nice just to walk off the McDonald's.
AQUAPOLIS
I didn't go there but its a few kilometers from Salou in La Pineda..Its a big aqua park, so get wet and have fun!
RIO GRANDE
Here you'll find some great Mexican food. Expensive menu but worth it.
Hope that helped, also some quick suggestions. Make sure you take plenty of sun cream, some good shoes, and a hat to keep cool. Avoid using pay phones, just another way to lose your cash. People on the whole are nice but at night in some places young boys think its helerious if they shoot you with soft guns. Not nice. Police are helpful and kind but they can't be in 2 places at once.

When you going i went august last yeasr and loved it. Good beach the themeparks although i did not go as i have young kids are supposed to be fab. Try and eat in the Black beauty inn food is excellent and the Paella is great. |

Been to Salou a few times now as well as La Pineda.
Salou I find very busy with loads of shops and bars so you certainly wont be bored there.
You may get a problem with the noise levels if you are going in the peak season, so if you are in a hotel near a main road, try and get a room in a quieter part of the hotel.
The beach all along this coast is very good, and a visit to the water paer in La Pineda is advised. (5 mins on the bus from Salou)

its fab i was there two years ago and am goin in july again(mite see u there lol) go to the theme park make sure to wait to see the fire works a two days visit shud allow u to see it all.the water park is fab aquapolis great day even have a dolphin and sea lion show... salou is clean and friendly great nite life, clubs and bars and child friendly.... ave fun.................. |
