I live on the Cadiz/Malaga border, (Algeciras) and have done for 20 years. My sister regularly comes to visit, and on one of her trips with her hubby, they went off to Sanlucar for a few day - when she came back, she was totally in love with the place -and although she had previously wanted to move to my area to be near me and my family, she is seriously considering moving there, as she said, you get more for your money, and it still is soooooo spanish. Look it up on Google, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Iv been there a few times.

Its one of those small-medium size villages. It has an old part which is the fisher´s town, and a newer part with apartments for local tourists.

It is just on the mouth of the Guadalquivir river, and from the beach you can see the National Park of Doñana on the other side.

It has a lively nightlife, and lots of bars for tapas. It is close to many worth visiting places (Jerez de la Frontera, for instance) so you wont have time to get bored. It also has good bus schedules with major cities around.

The beach is nice, and there are not too many tourists. Mostly locals and spaniards. There u wil be able to practice any sea-related sport u can think of.

Hope u enjoy ur visit!!
