Yes. I enjoyed the weather, the beach and the nitelife. There are a few good bars but I didn't find a club I liked while I was there! Definately go to Port Aventura and if you get the chance take the trip to Barcelona. There you have the FCB stadium, great shops and more.
I did have a good time but I don't think I'd go back in a hurry, there was a bit of a cultural clash where I was staying. (and I'm not talking about the Spanish!) |

I have been a few times and loved it, my daughter and family fly out there tomorrow, it is a busy place and there is lots of karaokes and discos but it is mainly for families. I didnt find it anything like Benidorm or magaluff as I hated them. Hoping to go mid september |

Salou itself is not that bad but if you want my honest opinion speaking from experience of being to both....... i would stay in La Pineda. Its about 10 minutes from Salou itself and is perfectly located right next to the beach, Aquopolis Waterpark and countless bars and restaurants. Also right out outside of the Estival Park complex there are plenty of taxi's and also regular buses that go direct to both Port Aventura and Barcelona.
I stayed in the H10 Med Village in Salou, but when i returned i went a little further along to La Pineda and stayed at Estival Park which is a huge complex with 3 main hotels and pools, tennis courts, gyms, bungalows, kids clubs, and you are free to roam throughout the whole complex with all 3 hotels offering superb evening entertainment so i would definately reccommend that to you. You are best to fly into Reus Airport and then take a taxi to your hotel. It cost us around about 40 euros but was well worth it and was a lot more convenient that hauling all our luggage onto a crowded bus!!
But if you were set to stay in Salou itself, please do not be put off by some of the answers people give like the one above. Salou is nothing like the Costa Del Sol, which is literally over-run with Brits. Salou and overall the whole Costa Daurada and Catalonia region is very much itself and has not adopted the British ''home away from home'' scene that the resorts in the south of Spain have.
So if you do book it up to go, you will have an amazing time!! |

Good athmosphere but very british... nice beach, shops etc! Nice for a week... not much longer! Go to port Aventura if you go its brilliant but one day isn't enough to get round it with the queues get an express ticket. And barcelona shopping for a day I would reccommend! |

That is fine if that is what you are after.I wouldn't go back there now, but I have 3 small children now. |

i went this year (out of season) had the best time eva lovely beaches and bars. plus the amusement park, lots of places to buy souvenirs and stuff. i also caught a train to barcelona for the day and that was really cheap. i recommend the bar kiss and bus stop. |

It's nasty. If you like Magaluf, Benidorm, Blackpool, Marmaris then you'll love it. |
