benidorm is a busy place, i have stayed just outside cala finestrat, you can walk to benidorm if you like a long walk or the buses go regular, cala finestrat has lots of hotels but has its own quiet beach and few resturants, staying here you get the best of both worlds. and i recomend the magic monica 3* all inclu, great pool decent rooms with fridge and you get free bus to all other magic hotels in benidorm and get to all inclu at these hotels too.

Depends really what you are looking for. Alicante itself is very nice, however i found it to be much more quiet and i spent most of my time in the resort of Benidorm. The beaches are nice and clean all the way along the Spanish coast so that is no problem, and you will be in the Mediterranean Sea and especially in the summer months they will be nice warm temperatures and perfect for swimming, and snorkelling as the Med waters are for the most part very clear and clean. All the usual water sports are available, jet skiing, banana boating, para sailing and rubber ringing. In terms of things to do, there is a great water park, which you can easily spend a whole day there......and then go back a few days later and do the same again and still have a lot of fun. Also there is a theme park called Terra Mattica/Mittica (can't remember the exact name) Nightlife i can not really comment on too much as i was on a family holiday and we spent our evenings in the hotel as they had evening entertainment there.

** SUGGESTION **

If you are open at looking for other places to visit, i would suggest to you to think about one of the resorts in Catalunya. Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar are both excellent, however my favourite place to go is Salou. I stay just outside of Salou itself in a town called La Pineda, there are plenty of bars and restuarants along the main stretch which is 5 minutes from a great beach and an excellent water park called Aquopolis. They have many slides and pools there and also put on an excellent Dolphin show. Also 35 minutes away you can go to Port Aventura which has the Costa Caribe water park and the Universal Studios theme park so again a couple days can be spent here no problem! Then.... 1 hour from Salou on the train you can go to Barcelona. I'm sure you know of all the things you can do in Barcelona, and also from Salou you can easily get to places such as Tarragona, which are great for 1 day excursions if you like that kind of thing.

I hope this is of some help, if you have any other question feel free to contact me at Craig198724@aol.com

Alicante is a coastal commercial city, just like any other big city in Spain. However it has an International Airport which serves all the tourist resorts to the north and south of it. Most holiday makers never get to see Alicante, but just get on a coach at the airport and head for Benidorm and the other beach resorts up and down the coast.

If you are thinking of going to alicante... you may as well drive into benidorm, i went last year and it is fantastic!
the night life is really good and i just turned 13 when i got there and i was getting all these leaflets for bars and that and my cousin went and bought a pint of lager for her dad and she is 13 too.
the beaches are gorgeous and there is a theme parc but i dont no what it is called, that was good too. and there was a water park witch was just AMAZING!
Hope i helped :D x
P.S you land in alicante and then get a taxi or something into benidorm wich could take 20-40 mins depends which part of benidorm.
P.P.S they have really good shops for everyone, my mum is into african stuff and she got loads from there and it wasnt that expensive.
:D x
