Well, Las Ramblas is just a street -- so you'd really only need a day, tops, to check out everything on it. Granted, it's fairly long (1.2 kilometers) and incredibly lively, busy, and cosmopolitan, but there are a ton of other things to do and see in Barcelona as well: La Sagrada Familia (the still-unfinished church designed by Antoni Gaudi) and the Picasso Museum to name a few -- as well as all those fabulous cafes and restaurants! So yes, Barcelona itself is certainly worth visiting for a few days in order to pack all the sights and activities in, but don't forget to expand your visit BEYOND Las Ramblas!

I've included a link below that will give you some great information on Las Ramblas -- what to do, what to see, how to get there -- as well as a more general site for things to do in Barcelona itself.

Have a fantastic trip! Barcelona is so wonderful that I'm sure you'll wish you'd allocated MORE than a few days to spend there!

Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada FamĂlia Cathedral, and Parc GĂĽell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelona.htm for more details
