Curious driver!

Anyone been to Malaga, Spain?

I'm goin to sunny Malaga! Any ideas on good places to go for beaches, restuarants, bars, clubs, tourist attractions etc?

Also, I'm bad at packing and usually remember so many things I've forgotten to pack when somebody mentions those things! Believe me when I say any suggestion is a good suggestion! Thanks :)

If you go to Malaga city, be sure to go to the old quarter.

Must see's include Picasso's Museum (the building is amazing), Plaza de la Merced, Calle Granada, El Cortijo de Pepe ( probably the best tapas in Malaga), Pedregalejo (no. 11 bus from centre) for a leisurely lunch by the sea, the Alcazaba and the Gibralfaro.....

MAKE A LIST!

I travel often enough that I rarely have to check mine, yet I still make one EVERY SINGLE TRIP!!! I even write on it to remember to bring my camera! (As if I could ever forget it! If I did, I would be spending a pretty penny buying one, there...first day!)

Magridge has pretty much covered Malaga. It is great for a beach holiday, but some of the best tourist attractions in Europe are fairly close, so check these out and have an amazing time!

If you have a bit more time consider a day trip. Granada is less than 2 hours away to the North by coach - it's a great Moorish city set in front of the Alpujarras moutain range with the absolutely stunning Al Hambra arab palace, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You need to book tickets but you can do this from hotels etc in Malaga. I couldn't recommend it more.

There's also an amazing medieval town called Ronda a couple of hours away to the West. Built spanning a huge gorge it's breathtaking scenery, plus Spain oldest working bullring with a toreador museum inside.

There are alsorts of other places worth checking out. Cordoba, with its ancient Mosque and white washed streets is 3 hours away. There are regular cheap coaches to all these places, and the train services are pretty good too.

Buen viaje!
