yes i have been to costa brava in october and it is not bad,in fact i am going this october to santa Susannah,as a suggestion i would go all inclusive as you have a child it will save you money,try alpha rooms for your hotel and use a h top as you can use all of there hotels

costa brava is only ever tan-hot from june to september. i went in april and it was warm but ver very cold at night. i also went in july.august which was really warm but it kept raining a lot of the time. you can't really guarantee the weather in costa brava anymore
some greek islands such as corfu would still be warm but not too hot for the kids. canaries could be too hot for the kids but fuerteventura is the windiest so could be best for all!

can't guarantee weather anywhere or anytime in europe.look at temp.guides in holiday brochures. safer bet is canaries or north africa
