You start by not being a foreigner looking for work during a major depression. The fact that there are 20% of the Spanish population looking for work is probably getting in your way.

Good luck.

And, your Spanish isn't that good? How do you expect to convince anyone to give you a job if you don't speak their language? And how do you expect to WORK, if you don't speak the language?

even the prostitutes are moaning a about the lack of trade there's no work here

i am Spanish but i live in en England. i have to work experience before my GCSE's and im going to spend a month in spain teaching English in a primary schools. Schools in spain are very keen to take on people for work experience, and especially if you speak english as all the children are eager to learn the language. Hope this helps.

Ditto above,,I used to live in Spain and although I worked for myself I knew of many local Brits who couldn`t get work for love nor money for two reasons, one they couldn`t speak Spanish and secondly a lot of jobs went to either family members or friends (Spanish that is not Brits),you could try a bar job but it`s seasonal, field work is only done by South Americans and Moroccans,it`s almost impossible at the moment and I really do mean that, thwe only other things that spring to mind are camp sites, kitchen cleaners and pure good luck,
