Was there in March, and prices do tend to vary. There were bars offering draught Spanish lager (very nice) at 1 euro. Others like The White Horse, The Plaza, The Cellar, The Village Pub, Churchills and Tommy's have a happy hour from 7-30 pm to 9-30 or 10 pm, where a typical pint will be around 2 or 2.50 euros (+ your free one, of course). I must say that my personal favourites were Morgans Tavern & the Western Saloon, both in the same street (Calle Gerona) in the Levante area, by the Ambassador Hotel. In each of these a pint was costing 2.90 euros (£2.31p), but the entertainment and atmosphere in both, whilst different, was superb. Morgans has 5 different cabaret type acts (singers, comedians, drag) and Western Saloon also has 5 musical acts ( including Before the Storm, John the Fiddler, Blues Brothers, Jo & Fabi). Other bars/clubs, of which there are many, with entertainment are charging more so it's a case of living & learning. We visited a couple, in which we didn't like either the entertainment or prices, so quite obviously they didn't see us again. |

Usually between 2 to 3e, BUT in bars that have entertainment, because they provide waiter service (to keep you in your seat longer), your husband can expect to pay anything upto 5e which in turn makes it a very expensive night.
There are some bar/cafes that only charge 1.5e. |
