Anyone know where I can buy brava sauce in the U.S.?

My host family in Spain put it on top of a lot of the food, and I liked it! My friend and I were going to buy some at El Corte Inglés before we left Spain, but above the sign that said "Salsa Brava" was an empty shelf! I haven't seen it at the grocery store by where I live... maybe I'm just looking in the wrong aisle, though. Anyone know?!

¡Gracias!

Everybodys brava sauce is different. It is real easy to make. Basically, you mix mayonaise with ketchup. If the sauce you tried had a little "kick" to it, then add tabasco sauce to get it the way you like it. That's it. That simple.

It's pretty vague. Since all salsa brava means is "hot sauce", do you know the brand? If you do, talk to your supermarket manager and see if he/she can order it.

Otherwise, why not send some cash over to your host family and beg them to ship some over?

I have a couple of recipes.

email me, and I'll send them to you.

These links have some great ways to buy foods from Spain:

http://www.hotpaella.com/Default.aspx

http://www.spanishessence.com/index.html

http://www.tienda.com/food/coffee.html?CMP=KNC-Google&gclid=COy16JOztY4CFQlQWAod8h9YxQ (this one is the most extensive)

I have other links. I found most of them, just searching "Spanish Food" on the net.

The alternative method would be to ask your "Mom" for her recipe, as I assume that she made her own, or a web address for the brand that she bought. Or you could just enter the brand name into your address window, and see what comes up! (assuming that there was a brand name and you remember it.)

Ask whether in your town is a Spanish delicatessen shop.
