Anyone on here Live in fuengirola (malaga/spain) or near mazarron (murcia-spain)???
I know Fuengirola very well as I live approx 20 min's away.
At the moment it's a bit quiet but it really starts to fill up after Easter. The town is relatively flat so it's easy for people to get about in wheelchairs.
Malaga airport is about 20 - 30 min's away depending on traffic
The beaches are good, clean and well serviced with sunbeds and churingitos ( beach bars )
There is a good weekly market and an enormous car boot sale every Saturday, plenty of shops and indoor markets.
Plenty of international bars and nightclubs.
Fuengirola is still a working fishing port and has a ferry that goes to Benalmadena harbour several times a day. Also there are boat trips for deep sea fishing or dolphin watching
There are excellent bus and rail links. The train line ends at Fuengirola and goes as far as Malaga for further connections

My fmaily and I vacationed in Fuengirola a few years ago. We found it to be very nice. The water at the beach was cold though! We also enjoyed the zoo.
