you can get some good quality villas for quite a low price
around my nans apartment theres alot of empty villas around plus alot of gorgeous views

Are you looking for a long term apartment or short term?
Well, prices in Barcelona can vary greatly.
I think your best bet is trying to rent an apartment from someone who lives in Barcelona but will maybe leave for a few weeks and rent their place. This will be so much cheaper and worth your while the search.
