Are bulls still being killed in bullfights in San Fermin after the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona?

Now, with more people becoming aware about the killing of animals, are they still killing bulls in San Fermin...I mean, the ones that are used in the bullfights in San Fermin after the bulls are used in the famous annual "Running of the Bulls" in Pamplona?. Or are they starting to do "no-kill" bullfights instead? I don't know if Hemingway was for or against animal rights when he wrote "The Sun Also Rises".

Hemingway was an avid fan of bullfighting, hunting, and the killing of animals for sport and entertainment. Have *you* read "The Sun Also Rises"?? I have. He was definitely pro-bullfighting.

There is no movement WITHIN the bullfighting world to do away with the eventual killing of the bull in bullfights - that, to them, would be neglectful in not following the long established ceremony.

The bulls are run from their corral on the edge of the Old Town to the bullring, originally and presently, as simple transportation for that afternoon's bullfight - where the bull is eventually killed without exception.

The bulls are killed in all of Spain's bullfights. Sometimes if they "perform " well they can be spared but that is rare. The meat is all eaten as well .

The bulls used at San Fermin run through the old city to the bullring where they are eventually coralled. In the afternoon on each day of the Festival, these bulls are brought out for bull-fights and killed. Killing the bull is common with the majority of bull-fights in Spain.

Hemingway was quite passionate about the sport, and certainly no animal rights activist!

yes they are, but with great honor.
san fermines is not all about the killing of the bulls and we definetly don't kill them for fun...
there are alot of people against this though and every year in spain, protesters make sure their voices are heard throughout the streets of pamplona.

Bulls are generally killed at the end of the bullfight. Since the bulls that run, I believe, are then made to fight, they probably die.

Yes, yes, yes!! Of course they get killed....that is the reason for their existence...without bullfights this majestic beast would be EXTINCT. Im sorry but a ·"No Kill" bullfight would be ridiculous...Where would the Bullfighter get the awards of 1 or 2 ears depending on the performance & skill.

Regarding Hemingway....I would say he had the upmost respect for animals as he himself was a great wild animal hunter in Africa etc....
