Are there any Irish or English Pubs along Las Ramblas, Barcelona?

If you start at the top of la rambla, (plaÃ§a catalunya) and start to walk down the pavement on the right hand side, then within 1/2 minutes youÂ´ll go by an english pub... it has like signs with football match details arsenal chelsea whatever on it. If you keep walking down a bit longer... maybe another 5 or 10 minutes... keep a look out at the sidestreets on the right... i canÂ´t remember which one it is... but the very first building on the right hand side of a side street that you go by is an irish pub... so just keep an eye out and youÂ´ll find it no problem!

Yes there are...but why are people from England and Ireland always asking for English and Irish Pubs in Spain? Don't you go there to experience new things? As an American I would not go to an American restaurant there, because I know the food would be bad, and how cool would it be to go back home and say I went to an American restaurant in Barcelona? (Not cool). If you are going to take the risk in going to another country enjoy it, and make it worth your time.

Yes there are. Don't worry you won't have any problem finding Irish/English/Scottish bars.

As for the other answers you have to take into account that although the local people do complain about this and it's true that there are places where the towns are over developed, you have to remember that this is a country whose economy is mainly tourist based. If you give the tourists what they want, you'll get a better income. And to be fair there are all types of tourists who come to Spain not just the typical 'larger louts'. You'll find that if you go to places like Lloret or Salou there are a few kilometres of bars and just round the corner a little inland you'll be hard pressed to find a tourist.

With respect Craig, I live on the Costa Del Sol and I have Spanish neighbours. I live in a rural area back a bit from the coast. I can go in any direction here and not see any British type bars. I came here to integrate into Spanish way of life. I do not visit restaurants if they employ British staff.
When coming to Spain for holidays, much of the tourists never leave the beach, yet just a few miles inland there are some really intersting places to see and interesting people to meet.
The Costa Del Sol has so much more to offer if you have just seen the beach area.

Amanda im afraid that is the problem with Spanish towns and cities based along the coastline. More and more Brits are moving here and its pretty much becoming a ''home away from home'' if you get me. Where as ive been to Seville and Madrid and its completely Spanish and didnt seem to experience any of my fellow idiot countrymen or thier cheap and tacky establishments!!

I just hope that these kind of places remain this way and i can safely say the likes of Salou, and pretty much all of the Costa Del Sol and Balaeric Islands i wont be visiting again becasue i go away to indulge in something different and get away from Brits.... not be surrounded by more!!!

As for the original question......... yes.... there are plenty!!
