Dark Spaniards with black hair in Andalucia is a cliché. I live in Andalucia and you can see the whole variety of hair and eyes colours. In fact, in my own family there´s a mixture of brothers/ sisters with brown hair and brown eyes, brown hair and blue eyes, fair hair and brown eyes, fair hair and blue eyes... My father had blue eyes and fair hair and my mother had brown hair and brown eyes, and both were from Andalucia and so were their ancestors. |

It depends on where their ancestors came from...the Iberos came from northern Africa and the Visgoths came from north of Spain. BTW, Mexico and Spain are two different countries. There are also dark Spaniards with lime-green eyes----beautiful! |

Of course, my friend, and i'm a good example of that: i'm spanish girl with dark hair and green-blue eyes, and believe me... i'm not the only one. I've to tell u as well that dark haired with hazel eyes are the most common caracteristics on the spanish people. |

Well Spain is a big mixture of white races, the most predominant characteristics are brown hair, with white skin, and every color of eyes you may imagine, the origin of Spain was with the Iberos then came here Celts, Romans, in some places Greeks, later the Visigoths, and finally we were invaded by Muslims, so, our race is complicated, in the south of Spain (as Andalusia) people is a bit darker than in the north for two reasons, the first is that there where living for a longer time Muslims and they get more mixed, and the second one is that they see the sun more frequently than in Galicia or Euskadi (or in the North in general) so they're also more sunbathed.
I'm from the north-east of Spain, and I have brown hair with green eyes, my mother has black hair with blue eyes, my father black hair with brown eyes and my husband is blond with blue eyes... |
