Are there trains from Barcelona, Spain to Venice, Italy? (see question for more info)? |
I'd like to see if I can travel by train from Barcelona, Spain to Venice, Italy. From my searching, I am assuming there are no trains that go to Venice direct from Barcelona, so how can we get from Barcelona to Venice via train? (I have looked at travelling on an airplane, but I'd like to know about going on trains)

You have lots of options..
you can go via France or via Rome.. it all depends in what you want to see.. there is no train direct from Barcelona to Venice, but you could try to make scales.
you can check online on the www.eurail.com for more information, you get the time tables (http://eurail.lwb-online.info/cms_getmedia.php?id=1120) of all the trains in europe and the map of destination.

You can definately do it--I've done the exact trek backwards. However, we also stopped in Switzerland and Paris |

If you look around at train schedules you can certainly find a way to get there. You will most likely have to make a connection, possibly as far away as Paris or Milan somewhere else, but it is possible. |
