Yes, the narrow gauge railway train goes from Benidorm to Denia, stopping en route at Altea, 5 stops away, and on to Calpe, a further 4 stops, before continuing its journey to Denia.

HOWEVER - check before you go -18 months ago there was a bad storm in the area and a lot of the rail tracks were washed away. Earlier this year, I bought my ticket in Benidorm and as they were still doing repairs, they put a bus on from Altea - up the line and then we could get back on the train,if you want to or stay on the bus, otherwise.
The train station in Calpe is quite a steep walk from the beach, but the direct bus service from Benidorm goes nearer the sea and there are lots of them

Yes, you can go all the way to Denia if you like aswell. It's a short ride to Altea (5-6 mins).
