Well theres building work right behind the INTERACIONAT
and it's very basic and not much better than your Primavera 2
I'd avoid it!

Hotel Canfali is situated at the Playa Levante and in the centre of Benidorm, with direct access to the beach.
The hotel has views of the bay of Benidorm and is mainly frequented by Spanish, however, it is clean and I'd say a million times better than what youve booked at Primavera 2
Its very rare to get a seafront hotel in Benidorm and this would be what would sell it to me! BUT you do know theres NO POOL don't you? I'd say this was pretty much essential for kiddies.
Its a very tiny hotel, not much in the way of public areas and the rooms can only be described as functional- not an apartment just a room with single beds- no fridge.

Look, I've checked on the travel republic site and theres nothing I'd reccommend at the same price as Primavera 2 the fact is I'm afraid that you're going to have to pay a bit more for decent accomodation.

Travel republic do The Vacanza 2- newly opened (2006) so it will be clean and fresh- Its on a hill, but weigh up the pros and cons- The hill with a possible taxi/bus ride up to save the oap's legs with good clean comfortable accomodation or a very basic unclean hell hole- it's a wee bit more expensive, but for me it's far more important that my accomodation is good and I can sleep soundly in clean comfortable surroundings.
Look at it this way. If you live in a clean comfortable home here in the UK, why would you want to rough it abroad and worse still, pay for the priveledge? Its a no-brainer!

DO NOT CONFUSE VACANZA 2 WITH VACANZA- THERES A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE!

You should also be aware that there is quite a lot of building work going on in Benidorm so check out the current situation before you make any more mistakes.

I know that when you have a budget it's hard to make choices, but cheapest isn't always best- most expensive isn't either but in Benidorm, the cheapest is almost always not good so you really do have to dig a little deeper.

The rest of your replies are reccommending hotels that are going to be way above budget, although I have to say that the hotels in Benidorm are better than the apartments and self catering might not be the best valur for money at the end of the day once you take into account the food & drink.
Sometimes paying a little more for a hotel at the beginning and staying HB looks dearer but in the long run it can be less expensive.

I used to find that a decent cheap hotel with good facilities and great food was The TorreDorada. Its at Poniente and quite a bit away from Levante but it was always excellent.
If you take 2 x rooms there you might get 2 free child places- check it out- always check to see what the price is for FB as well as HB because if I remember rightly lunch was only an extra £1 a night!- Worth looking at!

I hope this helps and I really trully hope you get it all sorted very soon.

All the very best of luck.

I have been to Benidorm on several occasions and although here are many hotels there I usually stay in the Best Western Victoria.
Address: Via Emilio Ortuno, 20, Benidorm, 03501, ES
Phone: 00 34 96 585 3900 Fax: 00 34 96 585 3508
The Best Western Hotel Victoria is a hotel opened in 2000 and is situated in the heart of Benidorm and only 300 meters from the Levante Beach.

The style is modern and inspired in the sea life. The Best Western Hotel Victoria offers spacious bedrooms and suites with sea views. The hotel has a large impressive entrance area, bars, game room with a pool table, outdoor heated pool and conference rooms. The restaurant overlooks sun terraces and offers international style cuisine. At the gym Nautilus you will find gym, aerobic and beauty farm. Live music, mini-club for children and entertainment for all the guests.
Check it out on the web click below.

Don't take children or oap to benidorm, its dirty and noisy, its know as an alcoholics paradise, I was there in October and it was terrible, the noise doesn't stop. If you want to drink all night and sleep all day then fine, but there is nothing there for children.

i went to benidorm in 2001, it was the best holiday i have had. i stayed in the crystal park hotel. i can't say any thing bad about it. it is close to the beach as well as shops and clubs. everything would be within walking distance. happy holiday.

Juan
for me it´s better apartments because is cheaper. I was in one of them you can see the hotel in this site http://www.dimehoteles.com/hotel-en-Benidorm-Apartamentos-Levante-Club-h1913.htm
