If you are going to Spain site see stay away from the English bars and restaurants try Spanish food i can not see the point of spending all that money to get to Salou and sit in English bars all day like a majority of English people do

Tarragona about half an hour away and Barcelona about 1h 15 min. Towns along the coast on that area.

The City of Tarragona is only 15 minutes away from salou. its a great city to visit.
If your into amusement parks , I suggest Port Aventura. its a few minutes out of salou.. and a nice place to spend the day in..
Also a Day trip to Barcelona is a must if u haven´t been.. You can take the renfe line from Tarragona to Barcelona and it will leave you in BCN in about an hr.. Its worthwhile to visit the city if u have the time..

Take the train or bus into Tarragona. There is a lot to see (e.g. Roman teater, cathedral, BalcĂłn del Mediterraneo) and also to shop Zara much cheaper then in the north of Europe). Please try a bit of Spanish!!!!!
