Budget for one month trip to spain? |
hi my husband and i are hoping to travel to spain for for a month (june-july). We are hoping to visit Malaga, Cordoba and Granada and hire a car for the month. Could we do it on a budget of £2000/3000? flights with monarch are quite cheap so that uses up about £200. And i reckon car hire would be about 400? any idea about hotels, food etc thanks |

Life in the south of Spain (and in Spain in general) is much cheaper than there in the UK... When I first went to Spain (which meant having a lot of extra expenses) I spent approx 1500 Euros, including gifts. Thus, I reckon you'll be absolutely covered with 2000 Pounds!!!
Have a lovely trip, and contact me if u need more info!! |

that will be more than enough get a base like rent an apartment and travel to and from base or just book when you get there?take your MasterCard just in case you want to splash out you will see when you are there are trips to Cordoba Granada and Seville all included hotel food and excursion when staying for instance if you were in Benalmadina?you can do one of these trips for 5 days for 300 quid so you would not need to hire a car and have time to get about the area you were staying on trains buses etc? hope this helps |

We did it for $15000US (yes, that's right, 15 thousand) from the US, (MUCH higher airfares) and there were three of us, and I chose to be sure of our lodgings in advance, which I found, after we arrived, could have cost us about a third of what we paid, had we chosen to just hope for empty rooms, but with my husband and young son, it made sense to book in advance. $6000? You might be able to do it on a shoestring, and without reservations (they charge less if you walk in and they have an empty room). Don't forget the fuel costs...It cost about .95€/liter last year...I don't think it's as volatile as the US, though...that was diesel.
I would have a little extra set aside if possible, just to be sure you can make it. |

Supermarkets are cheap to buy food. Not sure how expensive hotels would be, have a look on the net. Villas are expensive to rent but maybe a flat ? |
