CANARY ISLANDS: Ever been to south Tenerife in late Dec early Jan? what was the weather like?

i've lived here for 12 years now and the weather changes every year. last year it was nice around Christmas, the north of the island is wet and there were a few wet days in the south but even if it rains, don't worry, its warm rain! today the temperature was 25ÂºC but normally around Dec/Jan its about 20ÂºC although you would need long sleeves for night as it does get a bit cooler. Definitely warmer than the UK though :o)

We are going on 28th of December and everybody I know who has been there has been telling me that the weather will be in the mid 70s

i went for 2 weeks last christmas & it rained for 2 days, a few other days it was really nice n sunny in the morning then clouded abit in afternoon or visa versa and we had approx 4-5 days wall to wall sunshine.. as for temp it`s around 25 daytime & 19 at night..i remember cos it was 19 every single night on thoes tempriture thingys they have lol.
loads to do, would deffo recomend it,

I went for a week last December. 4-5 days of sun where I could lose my clothes and sunbathe, 2-3 days of heavy rain.

Its a bit of a gamble. We went to Tenerife a few years ago for christmas and new year. The first week was overcast and a bit breezy ( not sunbathing weather ) but the second week was glorious.
