Can anyone translate the fish types found on spanish restaurant menus "rosada" and "dorada" please?

they're lovely, especially rosada, but what is it?!

They are types of freshwater bream. Rosada is pink bream and dorada is gilthead bream.

DORADA: (Sparus Auratus) called Gilthead Bream in english
ROSADA: (Genypterus Blacodesmus) called Pink Cusk Eel in english (The rosada belongs to the same family as Hake, but its slightly pink-tinted flesh and skin gives it the name in spanish).
Dorada baked in sea salt is absolutely delicious...
And Rosada with alioli (garlic mayonnaise) is fantastic!

rosada is just plain white fish

They are oth salt water fish of the bream family, both very tasty.

I'm sorry to disagree with Abuela nany. I detest rosada with alioli. I love rosada a la plancha without the garlic.
Dorada is a very bony fish but the flesh is so sweet. My favourite fish out here is lubina (sea bass). It is inexpensive in Spain whereas in the UK it is often expensive.
The answers above are correct with the translation.

I thought dorada was sole. Isn't that a saltwater fish? i've never heard of rosada. I can't find it in my dictionary.

*edit* Dorado is Mahi Mahi.
Dorada is gilt-head bream

Can't find anything that tells what a rosada is...I'm guessing something that has pink skin, though.
